Gabe DeArmond is a 1998 graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia.  He graduated with a Bachelors degree in broadcast journalism.  Prior to coming to KNBN DeArmond worked as associate sports producer, reporter, and weekend anchor at KOMU in Columbia.
     He was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He came to Rapid City in December of 1998.  In Gabe's brief career he has covered professional football and baseball as well as major Division One college athletics and high school sports.  He also followed Mark McGwire's record breaking season in St. Louis from start to finish.
